    All Apologies - Nirvana
    On A Plain - Nirvana
    Exhausted - Foo Fighters
    Everlong - Foo
Be Quiet and Drive - Deftones
    Change - Deftones

Those all sound pretty tasty on acoustic

  • yeah soundgarden has some real werid tunings also.

drop c, thats a real out of tune drop d from my understanding?

Alice in Chains- We Die Young, Sunshine, Them Bones, Dam That River (plus a half step down, but sounds good either way)

Soundgarden- Outshined, Spoonman, Black Hole Sun

    Neil Young- Cinnamon Girl

    Days of the New- Touch/Peel/Stand

System of a Down- Lonely Day and Toxicity (I believe these are actually Drop D and then down a whole additional step. but imo, they sound better in regular Drop D. I think a lot of bands sound silly when they try to tune so far down because they think that's what makes a song "heavy")

drop c is drop d tuned down another whole step. any song that's in drop c, you can play in drop d, it'll just be a little higher pitched. I like drop d better, I think it sounds "prettier". when you tune down to c, the strings can start to get kind of wobbly.
  • Fuckin' Up - Neil Young
    Hunger Stike - TOTD

I think Cinnamon girl is actually DADGAD
  • Satan's Bed-Pearl Jam if my memory serves me right...and Present Tense.

I thought someone would come up with Fuckin' Up evntually. It's my favourite Drop D song og all.

Metallica's "Blackened" ( or is it TTTSNB ??) is tabbed as Drop D in the tab book, though it apparently it was recorded in D standard. The sound is the same, just the fingering a littel different. "MFC" is tabbed on GTW in Drop D, but I don't know why cos it's really easy to play in E standard, which I do.
    Music is not a competetion.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

You mean "Killing In The Name". I forgot about Rage, there's so much classic material right there. Around half of their songs are in drop D.

I disagree. I play tons of their songs in standard tuning dropped down a half a step to Eb. This is not Drop D.

Some ones not mentioned so far:

"Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse
    "Adam's Song" by Blink 182
    "No Other Way" Jack Johnson
    "Razor" Foo Fighters

You're probably right, I learned it in drop D like this:

I see another tab just tuned down a whole step
