Speaker Cabinet DIY?

I've recently bought a fender champion 600 and love the little bugger. However, I wouldn't mind playing it through a larger speaker. I've got an old 12" Marsland speaker from a traynor ygm-3 guitarmate and figured (providing the ohms match up) that I build a little cabinet for it. Anyone have any good links to building such a thing. I'm fairly competent with woodworking and construction. I just want to know if there are any special design features needed and the materials that would work best. Basically will be a budget project, so no fancy hardware or coverings will go on it. bare bones.
