replace string

Hi ,

Earlier this day my acoustic string broke. ( a steel string)
I have still a few strings over for my electric guitar , can I put it on my acoustic ??

It are D'addario XL ( exl110) strings... oh and it s de "d" string that is broken ...

you can, but it won't sound very good - plus the guage won't be correct.

Then I'm gonna buy some new ones.Thank you

But the cause of it is that I was tuning it.
But there was allot of tension on the string , en I was ( i work with a tuner) at de d string , but my arrow was all to the left so If i woould tune the string correct I have to put more and more tension on the string , and that's what I did and then the string was broken.

How is this posible ?? The string popped before I could even tune the string right....

couple things could be the reason:
were they old strings??? old strings = bad
was the tuner set on the correct string?? that can do it every time
check the batteries in the tuner.
If they were new strings, was there a crimp in the string (a bent point can cause string instability)???

make sure you change your strings every couple months - it makes a difference in playability and sound.

I have my acoustic only a week and today was the first time I had the chance to play it , but I first had to tune it ofcourse...yeah you know the rest ...

the tuner is good , I tuned before my electric ...

could it be that the strings still are new ???

If i get new strings should i replace them all at once ???
Beacause sthe pressure now on some strings are really high...

Just layed a new string on the guitar and again I can only tune it to the low E and at that point there is a hughe tension.

Would it help if I let it in this tuning until the string is stretched a little bit and tommorrow go to a higer note an so keep going on ???

and it was the g string not the d string

I only can find

inch : 0.22 mm : 0.56
lbs : 25.5 kg : 11.56

Brand : D'addario phospor Bronze EJ26

sounds like there's something wrong somwhere.
Wrong strings, wrong kind of guitar for the tye of string you're trying to use, bad tuners, bad nut, bridge, ect.
Take the guitar down to your local guitar shop and have them take look at it - see if they'll string it up for you.
Without physically seeing what's going on I can't tell you what's wrong.
