What picks do you use?????

What picks do you use?
I use Jim Dunlop Tortex 0.73(yellow)/0.60(orange)/0.50(red), Jim Dunlop Tortex Triangle 0.60 and the fender 60th anniversary picks (celluloid).

    absolutely, best choice for me... i also like the red tortex 50mm, thin fender (pearl white ?) and the 46 mm of planetwaves...

    I use a really light (not sure what thickness) sharkfin pick. I'll probably just switch to a light-thickness regular shape, though.

    For practice, I use Fender heavy and for shows, I use the purple Tortex, VERY thick. I have used the yellow ones for acoustic as well as the Fender mediums for acoustic but they break easily when I use them for electric

    Pickboy 1.5mm jazz picks for electric (rock, alternative, blues - lead work).

    Also Dunlop 1.0mm jazz for electric (rock, alternative, blues - lead work).

    Dunlop .58 gator grip (awesome picks) for acoustic rhythm and lead work.

    Pickboy 1.0mm Pos-A-Grip graphite composite for standard Jazz (really the most thumb-like sounding guitar pick available).

    Truthfully, celluloid picks really really suck!!!
    Celluloid picks get all kinds of chips and cracks in them, and they break all the time.
    I once had a heavy Fender Celluloid pick with a chip in it hang-up on my high E-String and rip it right out (mind you, while I was playing in a festival with 10,000 people in attendance). I had to think fast on my feet and come up with chord inversions (on the fly). I had to change to my other Les Paul for the rest of the show - Subsequently I flicked all the shitty celluloid picks into the audience during the rest of our set (the crowd loved it). I haven't gone back to celluloid since.

    Today I bought new picks... Jim Dunlop again.... I added the JD tortex sharks .73 (yellow) and .60 (orange). to my collection...

    I now have 36 tortex picks and 36 fender picks....
    I'm waiting for my order of 50 picks with my own print....

    I stand by my red tortex .50's

    occasionally I use a gator grip .58

    anything higher than that is too thick

    I tend to use Fender mediums most of the time but I have tons of other ones I use for particular songs. For some reason I like certain picks for some songs I've written myself, but for the majority of songs, I use Fender mediums. I use lighter ones for more technical practice stuff though.
