On acoustic...that's going back to when I was nine. I think it was a song out of Book One of the Ernie Ball "How to Play Guitar" book...one book had blue lettering and one had red, I forget which, but they both had eagles on them. Anyways, it was a song out of that. On electric the first song I learned the whole way through, including the solo, was "Talk Dirty To Me" by Poison.

Probably Bob Dylan "Blowin in the Wind", but the one I remember best from back then was 'Vincent" Don McLean, 28 yrs later still have the scabby old typed page and the same guitar.

Not really is you play it in standard tuning. There used to be a link to it on the gtw.com forums but I can't remember it now, but its really easy.

My first riff was Come As You Are, and my first full song was You Belong to Me that Bob Dylan and Jason Wade have both done

  • Meh, I learned some of those Mel Bay lesson book exersizes at first.

My first actual riff was Heartbreaker by Led Zeppelin. I learned it after about a week after I first started playing guitar and it took me a good day or two to perfect

My first full song was Stairway to Heaven after about three months of playing and it took me about two weeks to perfect ^_^
