    I don't know his real name, but his Harmony-Central username is RandyVanSykes. His band is called New York Minute. He's from St. Catherines I believe.

    I remember when he got his 50BLUE, the forum just erupted with the clips he posted. I think he's personally responsible for selling like 50 of them to people who post on Harmony Central.

    Edit: Those live clips may be a Marshall Superlead, but I'm going to find out right now. :)

    Here's how I usually have my amp set, but you gotta remember that I also have a master that really changes the tonality.

    Gain 7
    Volume 5
    Treble 3
    Mid 7
    Bass 5
    Volume 5
    Treble 5
    Mid 6
    Bass 4
    Reverb - doesn't work :mad:
    Master 2

    I'm playing with a Les Paul at this moment, but these setting sound even better with a Strat.

    yeah i jsut recorded evolution and my mic blows...im buying a new mic pretty soon so ill have it then :)

    I just don't want to rush my decision just because of the deal on the Deluxe right now, I mean $495 from $770 is huge and I love the amp, but I just want to make sure......because the Traynor's a awesome to, and I don't want to be sucked in by "Fender's name" either....

    I wish I could play them all behind curtains and do like a blind amp test....i guess i could??? :)

    SG Special - Neck pickup with volume at 10 and tone at about 6
    to
    Traynor YCV40WR - Clean: Treble 7, Bass 4, Mids 5, Volume 1...Overdrive: Volume 1, Gain 4.5, Treble 6, Bass 7, Mids 6 (these are not my usual settings but just for this song)

    The actuall recording came out better than usual but its still shit...I fucked up in the middle hitting the wrong chords (hit a G bar chord instead of a G# bar chord) and the ending 30 seconds, i fucked up somewhere there, you'll notice it

    You will get a sense of how the clean channel is with the amp for a bluesy sound...and you will hear how you can get a nice warm bluesy low gain sound

    Settings are clean: Volume 6, Treble 7, Bass 4, Middle 5, Reverb broken. There's a DD-3 in front of the amp, and that's it. The guitar is a Fender Standard Strat in the 2nd position.

    i love the sound of a clean strat

    and a DD-3 is a great thing...simple and gets the job done, i love mine...thats a nice clean sound...funny thing too is that you hear somethings recorded that sound great, and its nowhere as good as it is sitting next to the amp hearing it...thats how it is with me, ill send my friends somethings and they are like...ah yeah decent sound...when I jam they are just like HOLY FUCK what was that like 2000$? ha

    I don't have the whammy bar, so I just grab the bridge and give it a pull. :) And yeah, the clip sounds nothing like what it sounds like sitting right here next to it. The computer mic kills the frequency range, and then to make it worse, the conversion to .mp3 (for size reasons) kills it even more. That clip I posted sounds 10x worse than it's original source file, which sounded like crap to begin with. You gotta be there to hear it.

    I just use my built in mic on my laptop. If you ever want to get into recording, do not do it this way. It sounds bad. :(

    It works alright for basic clips like this though. Even if I just had a Tascam and a half decent mic lying around, the clips would be a lot better.

    then ill do one with just random things on my sg with my "real" sound

    I rarely solo (when I do I own :), honestly) and its because that I can't play in key very well, and I'm sort of embarrassed to solo sometimes when I'm with friends because I know they will say "you hit a few wrong notes or mostly wrong notes"...and i know that
