    Not to disagree with the lot of you, but this tele of mine is really really comfortable.
    It's even got many of the same features as a Strat, including a tummy cut back:

    tele. dispite what people thinka tele can be MUCH more versitle than any strat. plus, they look so much cooler. strats to me have always seemed "cheap" looking and feeling.
    they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go

    i wish they'd made those left-handed. i almost did carve the middle pickup into my tele but chickened out.

    for the topic at hand, i feel the strat is most versatile but the tele has more character and sounds more raw.

    whoever said that strats looked cheap, i'm going to have to agree with you. all the cheap knock offs have really lessened the image of the strat (obviously image isn't worth much, but it still matters)

    Tele, because like in a previous, similar thread, they have that unique factor. Every man and his dog have a Strat or Strat knock-off, yet you see someone kick ass on a Tele or blow you away with a solo it's a hella lot more impressive.

    I'd love to have a bass with a Tele body, actually.

    Not knocking strats at all, but I feel like everytime i see someone playing one I'm thiking like "Oh another strat". I think it would be interesting if people tried to make their strats more unique. Example, play one without a white pickguard. I think the sunburst John Mayer look is awesome.     Presently, my Nashville tele is starting to grow on me. I feel like I can copy any strat tones with it except for the bridge. I get a killer sound for little wing. Eventually, I plan on de-nashvillizing it and replacing the pickups with SCN's or something along those lines.

    I don't know if they made this model in left handed, but probably (they don't make it anymore).
    You don't see them very often (I've only seen 1 other since I bought mine).
    Abalone dots, rosewood fretboard, mint green pickgard, 5 way switch (yeah, like a Strat).
    It came standard with 2 noiseless tele pickups (neck and bridge), and a strat noiseless pickup (middle).
    Also has an A/B (on/off) switch which turns the bridge pickup on and off.
    This allows all 3 pickups to be on at once, or just the neck and bridge together (talk about versatile).

    I generally prefer Tele's myself.
    Like the feel and sound better.

    But a nice strat can be a lot of fun!
