my band's demo

Hey Y'all,

My band recorded a few demos yesterday. We pretty much did them in one take cuz we didn't want to spend a ton of money and there only demos. I played my '04 Les Paul Std thru my Line6 HD147 head with a Marshall 1960A cab. I didn't have time to tweak my tones too much since we were under a time constraint so they aren't great. I wanted to track my solos again too but we ran out of time but I think you'll get the idea. I also sang some backing vocals. Unfortunately, I couldn't get any more PJ on the demo but we are doing 4 or 5 other PJ songs. Hope you like them:

    Don't let my username mislead you. Dissident was the name of the PJ tribute band I played in and posted demos from those days a while back. This band is called Raising Cain and we play all kinds of covers and I'm the new kid on the block. Of course, I brought my bag full of PJ to add to their songlist and they seem to dig it so far :-)

    very nice songs, i like it a lot! With your band "dissident", have you ever played in Montreal Canada? 'cause there was a tribute band to Pearl Jam that had the same name up here. Keep on rockin' man!

    No, we never made it out to Canada. As a matter of fact, we never made it out of the studio. We had a few gigs within a year of working then all the egos took over and it withered away. Raising Cain is much more fun to play in because we all are just having fun and jamming. Thanks for the kind words.

    Yah, when we finally sat down to do the mastering, we were all pretty tired and it was a long day. The overall volume on all the songs are down quite a bit but these are just demos to get us into clubs and that's it. Recording covers is really something we don't take too seriously in the studio but we wanted to play them good enough in the time slot alloted to us.
