what are your experiences singing pearl jam? and which one is the hardest do you think?


i myself have sung almost every song, but, formally with my band ive only sung, evolution, even flow and alive. Eeeeeaaassy

    nah, even flow was easy...plus we played the slow version....so...


    lukin, ... ive tried singin it.... doesnt seem that hard, but it needs you to be in a good mood

    it's kinda crazy because alot of the stuff is really low and alot of the stuff is really high (well to high for me)
    I've been listening since the beginning and they only get better with age.

    The mid rangy stuff is pretty easy and right in my range... song like DTE get rough because of the screaming/rougher edged voice for a long time.

    Pearl Jam is so much fun to sing though, I love when my band plays PJ songs... I really get into those.

    well, my only experience in front of other people was a drunken version of black i did at kareoke night at a local bar once. it was rather horrid. otherwise, i'd say i sound just like ed when i'm in the shower. just that right amount of reverb from the shower stall. ha...yeah right.

    the artist whose songs i like to try to sing the most is john frusciante. i love his solo stuff. he has the same vocal range that i do, plus i like trying to do the falsettos/harmonies that he throws in.

    the chorus on given to fly is definitly a tough one,....arc is tough,haha,...

    theyre the three i have problems with- mostly the chorus- verses are fine
    Some people have to have the sultry evenings Cocktails in the blue, red and grey But I like every minute of the day.

    i've done lukin when i was drunk.... we lost the recording of it though.... something happened when we were trying to put it on a CD.... my bad also has done alive, betterman, animal, and nothing as it seems

    Low Light
    Long Road
    Throw Your Arms Around Me

    Ok. Black isn't very difficult, niether is HYLA. Elderly Woman isn't hard either. Lukin...all you do in Lukin is take a swig of whiskey and scream...Immortalitys easy, Low Lights easy.

    Now Long Road...that's different...I find it hard to sing cause you go from a high note to whispering and it's hard for me to transfer.

    TYAAM...yeah it's difficult too when you have to scream then go back to singing all nice.

    for me its difficult to play guitar and sing some songs so we just choose songs that i can sing and play :)
    like state of love and trust ,leaving here, low light,....
    i tried, so don`t blame me
