What do you guys think? What are those progressions that may you want to get up, dance your ass off, sings your lungs out, the absolute catchiest ones you could think of? I'm wondering if there will be alot of common answers (also, they dont need to be specific songs, I'm talking progressions in general).

Man there are so many answers to that question. I think definately the most common would be the G, D, C in any order or the G, F, C. I like using Fucked up chords sometimes though...weird arpeggios and stuff. One of my favorite simple progressions is the Bminor, G, A....don't know why but for some reason I really like that progression. In short.....there are way too many possible answers to this question.Only with our eyes closed can we truly see0

I would also say GDC in any order. E minor fits in there well too.
But whatever the begginning of daughter is. Probably the catchiest acoustic chord progression in history.I miss you already, I miss you always

The beginning of daughter is tuned to open G......open tuning are cool as well. Look at "she talks to angels" & "name"Only with our eyes closed can we truly see0

Everytime I go to a wedding, this song gets everybody up and dancing:
[F]young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, [Dm]young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, [Bb]young man, 'cause you're in a new town
there's no [C]need [Bb/C]to [C]be [Bb/C]unhap[C]py
it's fun to stay at the[F] y-m-c-a.
it's fun to stay at the[Dm] y-m-c-a.
they have [Gm]everyth[Gm/maj7]ing for you [Gm7]men to en[Gm6]joy,
you can[Bb/C] hang out with all the boys
I wonder if all the dancing older redneck people ever listened to the words to that song!
Well, you didn't say "good", but "catchy".:D
