Having trouble with Footsteps!

I am sure it is a breeze for most of you but I ca not get the beggining down correctly. Any help?????????

    What part are you having a problem with? The intro is fairly simple. The chorus is just a open C chord, then slide it down to the 3rd fret to make a D and then close it out with a Em.

    Its the intro before the chorus. Please explaine how.

    Downpick and slide 1/3 on the E string w/ index finger. Hold your index finger on the 3rd fret/E string to let it ring out. Up-pick the G string open. Downpick the E and slide it back from 3/1. If you're having trouble getting the G string (and i mean on the guitar), try either playing it slow or fingerpicking it by using your thumb for the E string and middle finger for the G.
