Ipod problem please help

Hi guys,

im having a problem with my ipod and pc. I recently bought a new pc, and now im having the problem that if the ipod is connected before i switch it on, then when i boot the computer freezes. Only if i unplug the ipod then it will boot up. Once i am in windows the pc has no problem with the ipod, but booting up is a problem.

Anyone have any suggestions?

    dont plug it in till its all booted up? :P
    I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?

    I second that. Just wait until the OS is done loading until you plug it in.

    If you're really desprate to have it plugged in when you boot make sure you have all the latest windows updates. ALSO GO TO THE MAC SUPPORT SITE (caps) and see if there is a FAQ about this problem. They may have patch for windows if it is a very common problem.
