B Chord question

I am all ready to play my first PJ song. I chose Elderly Woman, the only problem is I am not sure how to play a B chord, which is prominent in the song. I know you are supposed to hold down all six strings on one fret and then with your other fingers hold down a few strings on other frets. Any tips on how to play this? I have no idea.

There is no B chord in that song.

The B-chord he's talking about is:

not a real B, but the root note is on the B. I don't really know what I'm talking about here theory wise, but this is the so-called B-chord you're talking about. It's actually a G/B.

It's the G chord without using the low E-string, it's called the G/B chord.

thanks for the info guys. That helps. I just picked the the guitar and now am finally ready to try some good songs. i have been spending awhile practicing childrens songs. I got confused because there are a ton of different variations of each song. AZ Chords.com, and ultimateguitar have all thse songs listed but there are a million different variations. Its kind of frustrating. I dont know which site to trust. Although Giventowail.com is a reliable one

all first position chords
