    pearl jam-wise, i can't follow the 'had a ticket' rule. sorry. but during the canada tour, i didn't go to the london or hamilton shows, like most sane ontarians did. still got to see ottawa, kitchener and the t-dot.

    non-pearl jam, i had tickets (seventh row floor) for the chili peppers. made it inside the venue. got kicked out before i made it to my seats. moral of the story: don't chug a veritable crapload of alcohol in a short time before a concert.

    or be obvious with other items which are not allowd into the venue (had "friends" kicked out of venues)

    well, in 2003 i would say the santa barbara show that i hadd tickets to but an hour before found out i couldnt go. :(
    but NOW i say the greatest show i missed is the vfc toledo show where PETER FRAMPTON was present DAMMIT!!!!

    OZZY and Motley Crue.....1984-85 ish....Had tickets to go and it was to be my FIRST rock concert......Had been stealing my moms roomates pot for a LOOOOOONG time and it had gone unnoticed. Must have taken too much for the show as this time, I got caught! Mom gave the tickets to the neighbor kids and I sat home....I was told by many friends that it the best show they had ever seen...What the hell did we know, we were like 16! hahaha..:)

    I went to night one and stood outside the ticket booth on night 2 for three hours waiting for tickets to be released. They played Gone for the first time that night, it was a crushing blow when I got home and read the set list. Also heard they released tickets shortly after the show started.

    Hershey 2003.

    Had the tickets but my car's transmission died in Boston. After attending Boston III, 2003, I really didn't care much about Hershey. But, it did suck being on a bus back to Indiana that night instead of at a concert.

    the greatest show that I missed was the first MSG show in 2003, the one filmed for the DVD. I had attended both Camden shows earlier that week and was hitting up Hershey two days later. it was either two Camdens or two MSGs and I chose Camden because I have friends in Philly. the second MSG show was great anyway and it was more of my type of setlist, but it would have been cool to be at the show they made a DVD from.

    I went to the infamous Golden Gate Fields show in June, 1995. I had a great time, and it was a bonus that they came back to San Jose in the fall to make-up for Eddie being sick. I was all set to go to San Jose but couldn't. My brother-in-law was given the tickets and saw a long, awesome show. The only thing I have is a soundboard boot of the show that is a reminder of, to me, the greatest show I missed. I wanted to see Jack Irons again.

    Well, I went to both chanches I had to see Pj live in Buenos Aires...but I could have gone to the Porto Alegre show....

    Non-PJ: I got two!
    1. U2 on February 4th in Buenos Aires...my sister told me to go, and I wasn´t much of a U2 fan back then, but I had always loved ¨ where the streets have no name¨. I didn´t go because I was in my homecountry, Bolivia, and had to go to Buenos Aires for a month and didn´t go coz there was this girl....what an idiot I was.
    2. The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, same night, in Buenos Aires, around March or April. Why? Coz I was a real fucling idiot that week...I said ¨tomorrow i´ll buy my ticket...tomorrow....and then, the day of the show came...DAMN!¨

    Luckily, I finally got to see U2 in 2006, twice, and I´m seeing Bob Dylan twice this March. Still waiting for my Rolling Stones show.

    I had my tickets in the basket and when I've tried to pay the site goes down...5 mins later I've been able to connect again but my basket was empty...
    I've spent 30 Euros to talk with the call center but no chances anymore...

    I missed them during their european tour in 1996. I was 16 and my parents didn't wat me to go in Paris or Berlin...
    I alos missed them in 2000 (Werchter). They cancelled the show after Roskilde...

    I had tickets to London Wembley '07, I had even bought flight tickets and everything was planned.. I was going with my boyfriend and then it turned out he had some exams that very day of the concert, so of course we had to cancel everything! it really still annoys me like hell...

    Non PJ - I missed Alice In Chains when they played in Denmark in '06... I didn't go because it wasn't Layne and I really regret it now.. and of course they won't come back here until God knows when...
