How to clean blood off a guitar

Whoops, split open my finger midway through my set the other night...

anyway it's the gibson LP double cutaway/faded finish/aka no finish at all

all over the pickguard, that's easy to come off, but how bout on the guitar body itself.....can't use polish because well, there's no lacquor to shine, and water obviously isn't the best choice.....but it looks cool haha

    it is lacquer, it's just not a gloss finish.

    i'd get the blood off pretty quickly or else it'll be there forever and a slightly damp cloth is about the only thing i can think of.

    a slightly damp microfiber cloth will do it.

    Dunlop 65 is probably the most available solution to remove it other than water and elbow grease.

    65 does a good job removing most gunk. Spray on the cloth and rub it in or just use water, which ever you prefer. Clean Microfiber does a great job on it's own.
    My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    and i wouldn't spot clean the blood. i'd clean the whole guitar to the same degree because of the satin lacquer. it will gloss up when rubbed.

    I might leave the blood on my axe. How cool would that be? dried blood all over your guitar.

    haha thanks, well it was dry by the time the gig was over lol.....but it does look badass, i'll just get it off the pickguard and possibly worry about the rest of the guitar another time....battle wounds!!!!!

    i have blood on my self painted oly-white hardtail strat, looks bad ass, plus teh paint is starting to chip and what nto so its lookign really relic now.

    by the way, how is the faded dc anyway? ive been looking into a good p90 guitar, so just wandering
