looking for an NYC singer

Hey everybody. I've got a gig coming up at my high school, and have been putting together a band and have some originals ready to go, but there's only one problem; I'm a horrid singer. Horrid horrid horrid. So I was looking for someone to handle the lead stuff; maybe like a rock and roll version of Simon and Garfunkel.

Anyone interested? My influences include Beatles, Pearl Jam, punk rock, bluegrass, Pete Gabriel, Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Sleater Kinney, Radiohead, REM, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and others. I want to be in a rock and roll band. Anyone wanna try and help on the vocal front?

Hopefully I find somebody lookin for a place to sing.

    I live kind of nearby (an hour from NYC by train)... I uh.. would sing... Except I'm not good.

    Its what you would get if you put Neil Young, George Harrison and Kurt Cobain all together.

    I can sing on key, sometimes, though. :)
