Dream Guitar

Word on the street is that it's not officially out till august sometime.chops wrote:Gretsch is soon to bring out a Chris Cheney White Falcon Sig guitar. The first signiture guitar for any Australian built by Gretsch. While i can't find pictures to back it up, mods include TV Jones Pickups and ebony-based Adjusto-Matic bridge, Deluxe Sperzel Locking Tuners (or so it says in this months rolling stone). While i don't think the living end is a great band personally, i've seen them live a couple of times and they put on an absolutely awesome show - and cheney's playing live is exceptional.
I was reading about this the other day. It sounds magnificent. And i agree, Cheney is awesome.

It was love at first sight for me. Like i have already said, that is my dream guitar, it's just beautiful. It's good to see you really appreciate her lucy, and you play her. So awesome.lucylespian wrote:I am responsible, I admit it !!
Actually, I've not mentioned this before, but Lola was PLEKed and set-up by Charlie Charndler in London, who does David Gilmour's guitars, so she plays like butter. The guy I bought her from is a fire-fighter there, and spared no expense in getting her set up perfectly.
I did pay quite a lot for her too, as she is a superior guitar in every way.0 -

Interesting auctions. I'm not sure how the seller of the first one manged to get 23 years as the age og the wood. My math makes 1995 - 2008 13 years. Nice top though. I would probably call Vic Da Pra and buy a 2007 one first though. They had some mighty tops last year, and great tones.
The other one looks like an honest auction. The market is sftening a lot on these things, though premium tops will always bring a higher price.Music is not a competetion.0 -
