Can't do the bass, it's over 3 grand :-(

So I'll go with a guitar and even though I'm against Gibson because of how they treat private guitar store owners.
But I can't pick this one cause it's over 3 g's too.

Friend of mine just got a great deal on a Grosh at the going out of business sale at the local private own store. Amazing guitar.

That and three Hamers, two double cut-aways and a les paul style. All just amazing pieces of work. Hamers are extremely under rated.E. I love the Hamer V's and the little LP Junior type single pickup that they make. Probably underrated more now due to the Korean versions. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -
I would probably say an original, not reissue, Fender Telecaster Deluxe from the early- to mid-70's:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1976-Fender-Telecaster-Deluxe-Guitar-W-OHSC_W0QQitemZ280233259663QQihZ018QQcategoryZ118985QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

They very literally do not make them like they used to...
If not the Tele Deluxe, then probably a Tokai Love Rock goldtop with P-90's:

I'd prefer an older model than this one, ideally late 70's to early 80's, but at $3k, beggers can't be choosers....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -

I too dig the Hamer V's. And I'm still considering getting rid of the Reverend for the Hamer version of the LP Junior, older one from the mid 90's. Wrap around tail peice, but fatter neck.E. My next guitar purchase (and well under 3K!) will be the 52 Telecaster made famous and perfected by Keith Richards:

I'm having ESP custom make this for me: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pipeddream/1110628340/
since Gibson is anti-left hand! Still waiting on the quote though. Hopefully it won't be $3,000!0 -
