all i know about is that it suffers from the same tuning problems that mustangs suffered from (shitty bridge. replace the bridge and it's fine tuning wise).
short scale (24")
and i have a hunch that the pickups in the originals are superior to what's being used now.
but i've never actually played one (don't like short scale guitars much).0 -

yeah. most fenders are 25.5" scale and gibsons/epiphones are 24.75".
the mustang/jaguar/jag-stang at 24" is considered short scale and can take some getting used too.0 -

I have a tele that is 25.5" and a schecter that is 24.75". There is a difference, but not too much. I've gotten to the point where I like the shorter scale a little better.
But, I would imagine that dropping to 24" would be pretty noticeable, especially if you went from a "regular" fender 25.5".My whole life

no he didn't. all his mustangs had stoptail bridges installed for stable tuning.
the design didn't get finished before he died and fender just cheaped out and used the mustang bridge on the production version.0 -
Pure lameness.
have you seen that picture he cut and pasted though for the prtotype?I miss you already, I miss you always

yeah. i've seen it.
i never could get myself to like them all that much. i used to have a 69 mustang but just couldn't get used to the scale.0 -
Anyone know the value of these guitars? Or is anyone aware of a website with the values of guitars? Those who dance are called insane by those who dont hear the music0
