effect chain?

Should I start my effects with a compressor in front or a wah?

    try both and see which sounds better. but just to pick i'd go with wah in the front. i dont know if thats the right way to do it though.

    If I remember right, most of us prefer wah->comp, but the gurus recommend the other way around. It depends... a lot of players use the comp as sort of a preamp, and then want to get the most wah effect. Putting the comp after the wah will mellow out the wah tone... that's about the only real difference. Wah first = mellow wah, comp first = more wah.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
