I just prefer the T-o-M...
since the strings have to run parallel to the body (since the neck isn't angled back), i wonder how it could be made lower enough to do that.0 -

Good question...
A friend of mine has a T-o-M on his Jazzmaster that he had retrofitted, so I know it CAN be done. Lord knows how much work it would take. They have to have some sort of low-profile bridge for Fender retrofits.
It's the only thing I'd change about my current (and future) Tele. I don't like the one-piece bridge/tail, and I HATE string-thru.
BTW, I love the amp knobs... I'm wondering if those would look decent on my future Tele. They look great on my current Deluxe Tele....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -
something like this i guess.

this is still my prefered bridge though.

what about tone pros (through body design) no tailpiece just the bridge? My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -

That first one, the Strat-O-Sonic, is similar to the bridge I had on my Telesonic... pretty nice, it's like a one-piece T-o-M that strings thru and over. Still kind of a pain to string up, though.
Anyways... what about those pickup choices for that Tele? I really want someone here to try a Super 90 in a Tele bridge......and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -

I checked out that site. P-90 Sound in a single coil that will just fit right in.
It's very tempting...but I do like the sound I get from the stock pups...7-9-03 New York(MSG II baby!)
