string replacement question

Ok, I'm new to the electric guitar world. I have an Epiphone special II and just busted off the high e. How do I know what size strings to get? Will it be ok to just put on a new high e or do I need to replace them all?

    go to the nearest guitar store and ask them what strings are on there...
    they should be able to help u out from there.

    chances are that it came with 9's or maybe 10's.

    You can replace just one string at a time, but the general consensus is that it's good to replace all strings at the same time. It's sorta like tires on a car... when one wears out, chances are the other three tires are wearing out, too. Replacing them in sets will sound more consistent and keep things in top condition. If you replace one string, and leave the rest on, that one string will sound brighter, and much different overall, compared to the other strings. So it's a good idea to just do all of them.
