    hopefully the pickups are ok.

    in other news. i'm drunk. it's 4am. i went out with my old musician buds. i have to get up in an hour and a half for work.

    The pickups are Duncans, so I assume they're okay...

    As long as the soldering is alright, it should be fine. Wonder if it's shielded (probably not).

    But I can always get some Fralins instead of the Duncans, and swap 'em when I swap the neck.

    Why a Squire though? Why not just have more pickup options for the '72 Custom reissue? Not that squire's totally suck. But I mean...yeah. I don't know what I mean and I haven't even been drinking tonight. Time for bed me thinks.

    That's what I'm getting next. I only wish there was a rosewood fretboard option. Of course I'm going with the two-tone sunburst option.

    duncan-designed are offshore made pickups. not USA duncans. but from what i hear they aren't terrible. just not stellar.

    Fender really has their head up their ass sometimes. Why don't they have an american made 72 custom with more options? if they did it would be my future guitar instead of the american HS

    Yeah, well... they finally made the guitar of my dreams, and they did it half-assed. I'll be looking for a new neck and maybe new pickups and electronics. But still... they made a Tele with P-90's! WOO HOO!

    b/c the 72 custom is a reissue. it's intended to be reminiscent of what was available originally. offering options on it would defeat the purpose.

    but i agree that a "new" custom would be a good idea.
