Random Seating question...

With the 1st, 2nd, 9th and 10th rows being random, I'm curious if high seniority will be randomly placed in 9th or 10th, even though normally you would get the first couple rows.

Let's say I get 2nd row at a normal seniority 10C show, putting me 4th on this tour (since the first two rows are up for anyone). I wouldn't get randomly placed in 9th or 10th, would I? I would hope those "random" rows are mainly for those who normally sit behind row 9 or 10. Cause getting thrown back farther than your seniority is where it really becomes crappy.

Would they really do that? Cause I rather sit on the side with ticketmaster seats than farther back on the floor. At my height, I could at least see that way.

    Seriously though man, good luck getting ticketmaster tix better than ninth row.

    Unless they do random for 1-2, fill in 3-8 by seniority, then random again for 9-10 and fill out the rest. That's my guess on how it will work.

    I'm pretty sure this concern was addressed in another thread and this is the way they said it would be done. (Either someone emailed 10C and shared the response or someone from the 10C responded directly in the thread ... can't remember.)

    Doesn't effect me either way ... my number's too high. :)

    If the search function existed I would find where Kat said that people with seniority lower than rows 9-10 would not be put into those rows. But since they have taken it away for now....

    Why is this not discussed in the info on Pearljam.com? That might be a legal issue to not include that info there...not everyone is a member of the board.

    agreed. i read her post as well.
    rows 1-2 random, 3-8 based on seniority, rows 9-10 random, and all after seniority reigns again.

    how about just buy tickets and see what happens? would all this REALLY keep you from buying tickets, or even second guessing it for a second? play the lottery and see what happens.

    i agreed with everything you said till ya used the word legitimate. because there's nothing legitimate about people pissing, whining and moaning about every little thing, least of all row NINE at a show. If you think those seats are crappy too, both of ya need your heads examined.

    he never said row 9 is crappy, he said that getting thrown back because of the new seating situation is crappy. its not like he was one of the 15 people on here who ask everyday "when is the new album coming out?" or "when is the band gonna come to my town of bumblefuck?"

    and regardless of the question, I dont think being civil to each other is too much to ask. this is a "discussion" board, not the "All hail PJ and 10C board." well, at least its supposed to be for discussion.

    I'm glad it will work like that. If the row 9 & 10 randomizer included those who would now be in rows 3-8 it would defeat the purpose of making these rows random, which is to let more people see the band from a closer perspective.

    BTW With my number I would not be included in the group of members who would get rows 3-8 normally.
