I've heard this term used in songs, what is it referring to exactly:)

    actually, its a low end sub (bass) hit. Rap has alot of bass hits in it, thats why you usually hear them say dropping that 808.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!

    A pina colada, a hammock, yank out a ukelele, put my hula skirt on, :D and spend the winter in the greatest area code in the USA!

    when she said bass the bass would play.....when she said high hat I heard like the cymbal thing on a drum so i knew what that was but when she said 808 there was no obvious change in the music so I still didn't know:)
