help with learning guitar in pa

If anyone could give me some pointers on how to learn to play guitar i would greatly appreciate it. I can play the beggining of a couple of songs but i cant really play anything the whole way thru. If anyone knows any websites that give free lessons or if anyone is in lancaster county pa and wants to stop by and give me some lessons i would appricaite it. Oh and by the way i love pearl jam.

I always suggest rockin in the free world as a good song to learn near the start. It is awesome not TO difficult and you can really rock out to it.

My first song was seven nation army...then jeremy. Jeremy is a little tricky to start but is great for learning hammer ons and volume control.

Giventowail.com has a begginners section apparently as well as the tabs to the songs I listed.

try to learn anything from SOAD, there songs are simple but sound complecated so they make u feel really like your really good

Try to find Karl Aranjo's books on scaled and chords (both are on amazon).

The best way to learn is to play your favourite songs at first so you get a feel for the instrument. Once you feel comfortable with timing and strumming you can start learning chords and scales etc. "Not for you" is pretty easy so try and start on that. That's how it was for me anyway.

When you're ready to start on chords and stuff go here as I find it useful.
