so how is everybody? ive been helping my dad move to virginia and today i just got internet access

ill let you know tomorrow how much i love it

    sweet man. i have one as well that i bought of ebay, and it's a very cool guitar. i have planned to put the fralins in it like ed's, but now i am considering selling it to fund a townshend signature. it definitely is a sweet sg though.
    me you wouldn't recall, cause i'm not my former.

    its discontinued yes, and its brand new...

    my cousin works at a guitar shop...and literally the week before it was discontinued they got a shipping of 3 or 4 teal SGs, and he called me up and said i can get u a good deal for it...turned out to be 700$ (its 950)...and when it was discontinued there was 2 left in the store so he took one for me...hehe im lucky!!!

    if you go to music123.com they had 1 left as of last week, now it says to be restocked in 3-5 days...

    eventually when i save up ill put the fralins p-90s in...but thats gonna cost a good 250-300$ -- for the pickups and then they have to alter the pickguard for it

    but right now a new amp is more important than the fralins

    i would keep it because the townshead signature uses the gibson p-90s...from what i have read the fralins are better, plus the color is cooler :)

    they'll have to enlarge the routes too since P90s a bit wider as well. just a note.

    sweet, man. congrats. i got mine about 18 months ago and i love it. i had to order mine from gibson because there were none on ebay at the time and no guitar center in the country had one so i had to special order it. it took about a month because gibson didn't have any in stock at the time but it was worth the wait. i play it on about half of the songs every gig we play and people always come up to me and ask about it and compliment the color, which switches from green to light blue. the girls seem to like that one the best as well :) i have the stock humbuckers in it and it sounds great. doesn't have quite the tone of my les paul, but then again nothing else does. its beautiful and plays very well. you will totally enjoy yours.

    The lack of color options sucks, but it's an SG that's worth the money they're asking. Add a set of Fralins and a case, and you're set...
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

    Before you get all Norm Abrams on that thing, do check out the Hum sized P-90 alternatives.


    Then again if you want the exact thing, might as well go for it right? Hell it would be custom, as long as you get it routed professionally you'll be good.

    What they actually do is alter the body, you'll have to get a new P90 sized pickguard. Yeah you could cut out the other one but it wouldn't look very good.

    my cousin said he was sending it from his guitar shop and he sent it out Tues morning he told me i would have it by friday...right now im in virginia and hes in new york...god i hope he sent it here and not to new york

    they had them at 749.99 about 6 months ago or so.

    Sort of off topic, but at what point in Live @ the Garden does Ed smash his Teal SG? It pains me to see the broken pieces of it on the DVD cover.

    I don't play guitar, but that SG is so FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

    its not from that show or MSG2...its another i forget which one...but it wasnt THAT sg that he smashed, it was another teal SG he had, he had 2...one was a 61' or 65' and the other was a 2003
