Eddie's qoute:
"I had taped something off the tv when I was maybe 17 or something and I think it was people who had
mental problems who were being let out of the hospitals early because the states were taking away
funding for mental hospitals so they were setting these folks out without the necessary care but it was
still very intriguing the way their mind worked and what they would say and we experimented and tried
to incorporate it into what to date is our most emotional and moving song."
London #1 2000, Reading 2006, London 2007, London 2009, London 2010, Manchester #1 2012, Manchester #2 2012, Manchester 2012 (EV), Milton Keynes 2014, London #2 2017 (EV), London #1 2018, London #2 2018, London #1 2022, London #2 2022, Manchester 2024.
Used to think the song was just stupid when I was 16 cuz I didn't really know what it was or where the samples had come from but I like it's creepy weirdness now... there's no other 'song' like it and it certainly does grow on you!
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
