Going with Yield on this one.

• Hands down Yield. The power behind the lyrics of songs like Given To Fly and the the simplicity of Wishlist, Faithful, and All Those Yesterdays. It's an uplifting album without being cheesey or over the top, something I think very few bands can achieve.

for me it's Riot Act, no question.

Save You could have been written by me about my Dad.

Can't Keep is the most powerful song I've ever heard.
I wanna race With the sundown I want a last breath I don't let out
&
I wanna rise And say goodnight Wanna take A look on the other side

Love Boat Captain
Constant recoil... Sometimes life Don't leave you alone.

Bring it on cause I'm no victim

I mean I feel ever song. I could list all the songs but you know.
I found my place......and it's alright
• I really Love No Code. It just flows so well together.

• Any album with "I Am Mine" and "Thumbing My Way" has to take it... in my opinion Eddie's two best lyrical songs.
We think alike on these :D

"... when I hear the grandness of I Am Mine juxtaposed against the hollowness of Thumbing My Way, the conveyance of Ed's lyrics and his vocal delivery between these two songs is, to me, the summation of a what a complex man feels ... almost bipolar in range, but measured, even, and resolutely wise ..."

definitely not my favorite album, but great back-to-back songs!

Alright, so what would everyone say is their favorite pearl jam album based solely on the lyrics?

Mine has got to be avocado. I think its one of the few examples of a political album that not only engages the mind, but makes you think about the emotional impact of it all as well.

Whats everyone else think?

Wow, this is a hard one. As of recently, I think I might have to go with Yield, Riot Act, Binaural, or even No Code...wow, I might as well just name every album, they're all so strong. But really, I'm actually listening to Riot Act right now as I'm typing this, so lyrically, I think I might have to split it between Yield and Riot Act.

I'm gonna go with Vitalogy. Satan's Bed, Nothingman (even though it's Ament), Immortality, Tremor Christ, Corduroy, all amazing. And I'm willing to ignore Bugs. Riot Act and Vs. are in a tie for 2nd, I think. And maybe Avocado. Shit, they're all good...

Eddie wrote the lyrics to "Nothingman" though... One of my favorite songs
