It's five below in evidence.
The winded eves and sideways snow.
His eminence has yet to show.
Follow the ageless tide.
Follow the angled light.
Follow the strangest tribe.
I... I... I...
It's 6:00 AM. You're waiting for...
You've had your feast. You're wanting more.
Follow the wayward mile.
Follow the distant high.
Follow the strangest tribe.
I... I... I...
Follow the ancient stripe.
Follow the angel's try.
Follow the strangest tribe.
I... I... I...
When I read it quickly I guessed that the tone of the song was more generous than on a slower reading. I guess it is judging someone or someone(s), eh? I have to look more at it to try to figure it out. Not a lot of clues, though.
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
I like to think that this song is about the fans. I mean, "You've had your feast. You're wanting more" is clearly about an aftershow: everybody just hanging around the venue, a little sad, the glitter in their eyes... And "His eminence is yet to show" means the band's just waiting for Ed to show up so they can start the concert.
Just kidding. This song reminds me of my clan of friends, some years ago.
It's a wonderful song.
