To me its always been the most underrated song on their most underrated album (probably my second favorite album after Ten). Red Mosqito, Present Tense and Lukin are so great, but In My Tree has always been my favorite song on this album. the lyrics and music just fit me.

    Amazing song. I still remember the first time I heard it - absolutely blew me away. Definitely my favorite off of No Code.

    I've heard people say it's about drugs but that thought has never occured to me,anyone else think it's about growing up?It always reminds me of finishing school because it talks about innocence so much.

    In My Tree is fantastic. Absolutely incredible. I have an idea of what it means, but it would take me like 10 minutes just to think of how to put it into words. I really believe this is one of those songs that means exactly what you want it to mean. It has that kind of feel to it.

    I agree completely, propably one of my favorite songs, but not until i heard it live and really put the guitar together with the vocals. Definitely about some type of childhood isolation and I think that, with the almost dark introduction in the first verse, always gets me (ie Jeremey, etc).
