Hard to say..

There was a time when the Byzantine empire was the richest most successful in the world (constantanople baby),... but then again it was sacked by turks shortly after.

haha I dunno.

You could take it two ways..

Either an amazing relationship between the two people is happening or will be happening..

But considering the next line..

"There's a cloud, but the water remains calm",.. I think it means that things look great now but the turks are coming to give that relationship trouble.

You know what I'm saying?

It is odd that I realized how beautiful this song is at work. I work in a public school and there is not much downtime, but when I was writing the parent newsletter, which I was insanely focused on, I hear the line How to be happy and true is the quest we're taking on together, and I was completely touched. I included it as the thought of the month

I have heard thin air maybe 12 times today

I love when I discover a pj song

heard it a billion times but now it is new and I love it

his voice is so mellow and the breathing is perfect
and the backing vocals are perfect
the guitar is perfect with his singing

the music is simple

love how he sings its not in my past to presume ---how to be happy and true---on on on
love it!

Yesterday I posted I was done with binaural for now--I was soooo wrong. Still listening to it and thin air along with parting ways are to blame.

Did I mention I love the part 'to presume'? o my my my I love how it seems to crawl slowly from his throat and the music simple and perfect in time.

I sooooooo love Thin Air!!! That's the song i'm hoping for on one of the shows this summer!!!
Love the Benaroya version, where Stone fucks up...

Everytime i hear that song it completely gets me. For me it's a positive love song, about a relation and how struggle can sometimes be part of that.

It's a great, great song and really nice to play on guitar (although you need the bass line to really bring it to life), the part that gets me everytime is near the end when it breaks down and it's just Ed and Jeff playing that awesomely simple but effective rhythmic bass line - pure genius!
