this is definately a hidden diamond among the ruby that is No Code... sooooo over-shadowed by the greatness that is that album..
really nice to see the tune dodged into a highlight through this thread..to speak in photo-weiny terms or whatever..i'm a thief... and a liar...
see Ed's church?--he's breathing fire.....0 -

i freaking LOSE it when i hear this song live....ohmeGOD. it's consistently in my top 5 of fave PJ songs ever (the list fluctuates on mood, but this is one that has a spot carved in stone). when i saw it at santa barbara with the mighty jack irons on drums, i fucking flipped OUT lol0

this song makes me want to get married..
HAIL, HAIL
there aren't too many more motivations for me and legal marriage, but i'm not sure a guy really needs more than this.. assuming he has found the other HAIL.change begins with discontent.0 -
Just looking through the archives and decided I wanted to try and resurrect this one. Hail, Hail is the first song that really caught my attention from No Code. It appealed to the rocker in me as well as the analytical side of myself. I literally spent a few days analyzing the lyrics when I first bought No Code and it made me realize what I want in my relationship with my girlfriend. It also speaks to me because I consider my girlfriend and I (and others who are truly in love) to be lucky ones. Oh yeah, and this song rocks hardcore live.0

i think its:
"its egg roll and thick and heavy"
not
"its egg rolling thick and heavy"
just a pedantic note_____________________________________________
Its your move now,
I thought you were my friend,
but i guess.....i guess i hate you0 -
Pretty sure its also:
"like-minded on the run"
not
"i find it on the run"
although both work fairly well_____________________________________________

you know it. got to keep the love alive, literally and figuratively.
in regards to lyrics....i simply copy/pasted from the skyiscrape.com...so mea culpa if they are incorrect.

This song defintely is the best on No Code and one of my top 5 PJ songs of all time. The energy that the fellas inject into this song and Eddies lyrics are phenomenal. If this song doesnt show your partner that you are the one, then no other song will.9/22/92 Miami

*ahem* Well you didn't search hard enough decides2dream...

hehe. Hey...no worries though. Seems like no one can access these oldies...you gotta change the search options to like a year back or something. Too much work.More is always better when it comes to PJ and PJ praise though for sure.
Anyways...yep, I made a thread for this one some days ago cuze, well, it's one of my MOST favs. I can't ever get enough of it and it just never fails to change my entire mood. It feels so damn good. It rocks/energizes me but also makes me smile from ear to ear. PUMPS me up beyond belief! Who knew a love song could kick SO MUCH ASS! Damn this band is just the greatest...how they bring it from all levels. I love this song to pieces.
"I don't want to think, I want to feel."
YES! That is just one of the greatest lines EVER too & it's always ringing in my head!
I actually say this a lot myself so right the hell on...ALL HAIL, HAIL HAIL indeed.¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤

Easy there decides2dream. But hey I guess you're right, I am crazy insane...and songs llike this just add to that!
Of course as I said I KNOW people don't search that far back so it's all good.
And HELL YES, as I said before as well, I completely & totally agree with you...TWICE is definitely NICE when it comes to PJ and PRAISE...especially for a song as superior in it's greatness as HAIL HAIL.
<~~~ just listened to MSG 98 version
"I refer to those in love...THAT'S ME"
AWWWWWW!

both of us apart?
are we bound out of obligation?
is that all we've got?
i get the words, and then i get to thinkin'
i don't wanna think, i wanna feel
and how do i feel?
and how do i...
if you're the only one, will i never be enough?
hail, hail the lucky ones, i refer to those in love
i just always come back to this song.....amazing, lyrically and musically....and depending on my perspective at the moment...this song can sound like a tribute to the strength of love...or, conversely, as a jaded, defeated point of view of it all. probably all the more reason why i so adore it.....b/c it is just so real in that sense.i'll ride the wave where it takes me0 -
best song off NO Code, hands down

swore i'd love you till the day i die, and beyond..
i sometimes realize i could only be as good as you'll let me
i want to be your one, enough...
right there it is - if that song was those 4 lines over and over again, that would be just fine by me.I'll dig a tunnel
from my window to yours0 -
I know-- I love it! Gives hope--and I completely understand/agree the whole I can be new and u underestimate me lines.http://s278.photobucket.com/albums/kk103/Moonturltemoon/PJ MSG 6-24-08/
