    i was just wondering why this is in immortality. it doesn't seem to fit..to me at least.

    It's looking at the big picture while at the same time attention is paid to the here and now. Whiskers in the sink could be a common occurance whereas some of the other images are novel. Creates tension between what the protagonist sees as activities to do on a daily basis and concepts to understand without an end date. The other objects in the words i.e., cigar box on the floor, also contribute to this tension.

    an interesting coincidence to ponder...

    In Red Hot Chili Peppers "Tearjerker" which for all intents and purposes is about kurt kobain, even tho Anthony has denied it is, therres a line "I liked your whiskers, and i liked the dimple in your chin"

    I think whiskers referes to the omnipresent blonde facial hair of kurt kobain
