    Man i love whipping!!!!!!!! makes me soooo happy and excited i start jumping around like a strange electronic toy when i listen to it... I think its someone being abused and not wanting help hence "don't need a hand, there's always arms attached"

    i think the lyrics to Whipping are some how connected to abortion and Eddies views on that subject.
    In the sleeve notes the lyrics are written on a petition demanding protection against pro--life protesters who used harassment and violence.Ending in the shooting of a doctor who performed abortions.
    As we know the band are Pro-Choice and certain lyrics tell us that peoples attitudes to abortion are old and need to be changed...."why must we trust all these rusted rails?..they dont want no change we already have....."

    A corker of a track though.

    I love Whipping!!! I was just about to post the lyrics myself......Ed is so pissed off at the music business on Vitalogy. Great record...I am spinning the vinyl as I type....Division Two now. :)

    It makes me think of a kitchen aid. No matter what the first thing I think when I hear "whipping" is a kitchen aid mixer with the whip attachment. Then of course I realize that it's the song blah blah blah . . .After further review of the lyrics, I have no idea what it's about.

    This song is kick ass. I can't explain it but it's one of those Go/Spin the Black Circle/Why Go/Do the Evolution/Lukin/etc. songs to me. Hear it once and it's stuck in your head. Can't help but dance in my seat (if I'm sitting) and tap my feet whenever I hear it! I LOVE WHIPPING!!!!!
