That line is pointed at waif like Kate Moss models, not Amazons like Ed's girl.
For all we know, he could have meant Male models.www.myspace.com/swearupanddown

PissBottleMan wrote:Someone (back in '03) offered an interesting interpretation that I have hung onto. They suggested that this song has to do with drug use or addiction. I'll explain.
Never been addicted to anything, but the thought occassionally comes up.
Who decided that we should be able to be happy all the time?
Ever been addicted to something?
This line would have to do with physical indications (i.e. needle marks, wight loss)
Again, it's just a theory. The original poster layed it out much better.

i agree totally - the song is loaded with specific drug references, and the issues of self control and temptations that go with it. i think this song is about a combinations of feelings/isseus that someone is going through.
satan's dick is a term for a crack pipe, and 'suckin' the dick' is a phrase for smoking out of it.
"i never sucked satan's dick"
if you've never had the pleasure of seeing or knowing a crackhead, their lips are a tell tale sign of what they've been doing. their lips get all fucked up, hence...
"again you'd see it you;d know right 'round the lips"
great song, imo. lyrically, one of the most underated works they've done.0 -
I think sometimes a dick's a dick, to quote Freud.0

i was so glad to FINALLY get this song live after years and years, and at the gorge no less....yay!0
