Confessions:There's a PJ song that I can't listen to

So I never thought this to be possible.... but there is one Pearl Jam song (only one) that I can't listen to, every time it comes on i change it...I have tried and tried to let it grow on me but it doesn't happen...and the song is Nothing as it Seems. So is this really bad????Does anyone else have a problem with this PJ song (or any other song for that matter) or am I just retarded???Keep in mind I'm not trying to start shit so please refrain from that angry e-mails...help to shed some light on my problem =)

    I think that who you are is a good song, but i don't like it very much, it actually depend on my mood, sometimes i really enjoy it. Is it strange?!

    Last kiss....only becuase it was played to death when I was visiting friends in Philly. Man, they played it every 20 minutes it seemed.......

    NAIS is definately a hit or miss song... when it first came out i was really into it, then i got kinda sick of it, but it is starting to come back and be one of my more favorite songs... I think Binaural in general is one of their best records (behind only No Code). the fact that that song became the face of that record kinda made me like it less, but on the whole Mike really plays the guitar well on it. its a very dep song and the more you hear it hte more things jump out at you. try taking some bong rips, close your eyes and try listening to it (and the rest of binaural for that matter)... it will be worth it

    I can't listen to most of Binaural and enjoy it. Lots of the experimental vitalogy songs too.

    Definatly Red Dot........ and Green Disease, I dunno whats with that one, but i just cant get past the first 30 sec. of it.

    [edit] just thought of anotherone looking at another thread.....faithful. Not for lack of love for the song, but it was the first song I learned to play on Bass....I must have listen to that song six billion times broken up into six billion parts, and then played it twice that. I still love playing the song but i just cant listen to it anymore, i find my mind just bypasses everything and listens to the bass[/edit]

    I would have to agree that I sometimes skip NAIS....

    but I always can deal with that song when I am stoned and driving at night.....you know.

    I can't even get past the intro of NAIS it's an instant reaction....I think the only time I have ever listened to the whole song is when I have been at a show

    i've tried to like NAIS too but its just horrible. whats weird is that I absolutely love Sleight of Hand, which sounds similar.

    sometimes i skip NAIS also.. don't know why. i also skip nothingman sometimes... eh... guess it depends on my mood.

    even if you guys dont like certain songs, you can still learn things about yourself, pearl jam and music itself.. its never worth skipping a song, unless you are just not in the mood, or love a song a lot and you are saving its "freshness".....so just be patient, sit back and listen to everything, (not stupid mop) and enjoy it all...

    i realize my hipocritical statement might not make sense but you have nuthin but time to listen to these songs.........theres no rush.......

    For some reason, I can't get into You Are. It seems to be a pretty popular song on these pages, but I just don't like it. On the other hand, I will often skip songs, just cos I'm not in the mood.

    I'll have to say Mankind, I can't listen to it and always have to skip the track, to me it doesn't even sound like Pearl Jam (I know its stone singing).

    Despite this No Code is still my favourite Pearl Jam album.

    NAIS is growing on me, just started to yesterday. Um, i've never really liked habit, evenflow i've heard too much and there is a couple i skip on Binaural and Riot Act, like evacuation and...well can't be bothered thinking of the others

    NAIS i could deal with live cause mccready does justice to that guitar - last kiss i could eve deal with - just on the freakin radio - but there is a song i dont wanna hear at all and its ELDERLY WOMAN BEHIND THE COUNTER IN A SMALL TOWN - ill deal with alive and jeremy too - just no small town..................

    Being Pearl Jam fans....none of us really like anything "popular" thus those songs that are over played can be put on our "I'd rather listen to something else shit list" I'm thinking it doesn't mean we don't apprciate the song it's just that we have so many bootlegs and b-sides that we have all gotten addicted to something different that only pj fans are interested in....not the entire radio population. This is not to say tht we don't listen to ever pj album and still enjoy it's just that we spoiled =)

    There are a number of songs in their catalog that I skip over. For example, Leatherman does absolutely nothing for me. And I really can't stand You Are. BLECH.
