hope this helps

i was doom riding on top a black horse
whatever prize there was
i could only observe where the trouble starts
where does it end?
i cannot be cured
before it ends
i know life would be different if i held on (held on)
i know i could be something if i held on
gave her love away
put it in my pocket when it should've been framed
oh, it lost its shine
gotta get this out of my head
out of my brain
how could it end,
end like this?
how could it end?
i know life would be different had i held on (held on)
i know i could be something had i held on (held on)
i know i could be something if i held on (held on)
i know life would be different if i held on (held on)
held on
held on, if i held on
held on, if i held on
held on, if i held on
held on
Speaking of this song, what is up with the harmonies at the end. I love this song, absolutely awesome, but I'm never able to finish it because it sounds SOOOO off key to me. Am I the only one who thinks this?
I think it sounds alright. Sounds like Ed did some vocals for it in 2003 though, heh. That sure doesn't sound like the early 90s Ed. I love the song though, and I'm waiting for them to pull it out on tour.
I actually think it's a useless song, with no personality at all, and it was right to leave it out Vs.'s tracklist...
...but it looks like I'm the only one to think so...that's ok, I'll say it anyway...
so here I go
I'm finally on my way
once I said goodbye
that was my last wave
here I am on the
on the open road
I've never felt better
than when I am alone
(thank you dear L.!!!)
I absolutely love this song, it is one of my favorites. Although, obviously, a fairly depressed song, it's beautiful. Anyone who has ever lost a love, whether due to their own problems or not, can relate to it. It reminds me of that sickening feeling you have in your stomach when you can't have someone you really love. Very emotional song, but maybe that is just because I relate to it so well.
And and the chaotic ending, when the guitars just do not sound right....I didn't like it at first, but after really 'listening' to the song, I like the end more. In the song his head is a complete mess, and the music just builds and builds into a messy climax, hah. Maybe not the best choice of words.

Isn't it drawn, not doom?
Circle comes around each time
No, I think it's doom too.
