Question for those who collect modern-day cards:

I pulled a 2025 Bowman draft Aidan Wells (Dodgers) numbered 2/5

Do you think this card is more valuable than a non-numbered autographed card?

    Thanks in advance
    Yes.  Way more.

Is it aa true red, red lava, red wave?
Not sure what sort of red…..will look when I get home.
Cool! Post a pic when u get home.  I might be interested.

    Is that your exact card?

I didn't realize they added a red xfractor to the mix in draft this year.  Wow, they are really rolling out the variations...
my card is 2/5, with no auto
    Ohh duh, you said that.

OK so yours shouldnt look like this then.  It should be all red w no checkerboard look or have a lava look to it.

Either way it's a cool card.  Nice pull.  I'm a buyer if you want to sell it.

    or

You hold it for a few years and hope he makes it. He is a 4th rd pick so it might be a while.
Thanks for the offer but I think I will hold it for now.
    Good luck with the hold!

So I was familiar with 4 Corners and Probstein, and years ago I purchased from them. What I like about Greg Morris, is that so many gorgeous Raw cards seem to be available. It looks like this evening a truckload of 1960 cards go up. Maybe all these ebay sellers kinda do the same thing? I really don't know. But Ive been happy to be able to get some very nice cards and not have to spend PSA 7-9 prices.

This was a nice find.  Thanks for showing me.  I could get into stuff like this.

He has a beautiful 1982 Ric Flair card that I need for my set, I am currently trying to get them all from the A and B.  Card is 600 already w like 6 days left though.

  • Its so fucking addicting for me. Haha

Last night I said I wasn't buying anything
But by 1am, I am still awake and buying. Haha

Looks like he has his "shill buyers" though.
Of course he does. I can't possibly lose auctions to the same people. Haha

If they don't see the profit they want, they just purchase it back themselves. Right?

Yep, great way to buy it and not pay then relist.

What should happen is you offer it to the previous bidder but we all know that doesn't happen.

Looks great! All National League players though?

    I love the 71 Banks.

Now you need some Gibson, Spawn, Ryan, Carlton and Brock!  Or is there a reason they aren't in there?

Just waiting on a couple more cases to arrive and some card holders. I have enough here for another case, easily, and I have my recent purchases being delivered soon.

    American League
Other than the great Yankees, when I look at the American League All-Star roster from the late 50's, it doesn't do much for me as far as displaying. Im working on getting some Yogi and Whitey cards. Also Im a big fan of YAZ. I have some Kaline too. Will I get some Ted Williams? Depends on affordability. I have plenty of late 60s and 70s cards I still need to display.

    Which brings me to Mantle.
Mantle is surely an expensive card to collect. Right now I sit on ZERO MANTLE cards. I am not ready to drop the money on him right now. I really think Im going to take my time and try to get the best deals possible with some Mantle cards.

I was already sitting on my Mays, Aaron, Clemente, and Banks cards when I decided to start this up again. So purchasing the Matthew's, Mccovey, Killebrew, and other "2nd tier" HOF'ers hasn't really been THAT expensive. Dont get me wrong, I have been dropping money, but not crazy money.

Mantle? IF I  start collecting him? That's a BIG IF!!!
Its going to be crazy money.

I may not get any Mantle cards. Haha

There are a handful of cards that I have LOVED over the years and they now have caught the eye of the masses and prices have gone up.

    That list.

47 Leaf Williams.  Iconic pose of him.  PSA5 used to be $500.  Not anymore...
58 Mantle Allstar. This was the most affordable 50's era Mantle card to obtain.  It was Double Printed so plenty around. Well the people realized that too...
1980 Henderson. I think he hung around a little too long but he has some crazy numbers.  These were relatively affordable until the grading phenomenon went loopy.
1987 Opening Day Bonds error.  Always wanted one.  Wasn't cheap but affordable.  Now a PSA1 will be a $500 card.
1991 Topps Desert Storm Griffey Jr.  Before the card boom here the past years I bought one for $20.  Well now...
1995 Pinnacle Griffey Jr blowing a bubble.  I had this when it first came out. Finally got it graded. 9.5.  Held it for a few years.  Now the prices are ridiculous.  The base card fetches $50. Its a damn base card printed in the millions... Not a rc...

We all have horror stories of the cards we had as kids that somehow ended up in the trash. When I come back tonight I will tell everyone my story. Haha

Those 58 All Star Mantle, Aaron, Mays, Banks, etc? I had minimum 3 of each. Haha

Plenty more to that horror story.
But I am off to The house of the mouse.

Go look at the Bowman cards Morris has going to auction in the next day or two. 1954-55 I think.
Nice and not so nice. The not so nice(crease stain) are affordable.

I just went down a rabbit hole for his ebay page.  I don't get some of the prices people are bidding on.

Raw Montana cards are worth over $100 now?  When the hell did that happen?

I see some cards I would like to own but don't think this is where some good deals are for what I want.

    Will stay posted though!
