  • Same here, sometimes I think I'm the only one who thinks the first 3 albums are the weakest creatively.
i'd agree with both of you.

i loooove thumbing my way though.. very simple, beautiful song..

learn it on guitar and sing it to yourself when you play.. you'll never tire of it.
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

I can't listen to(or prefer not to) live versions of Jeremy and EFlow, and the Ten version of EFlow.

    Oh, and Live Wishlist too.
But I do love Stupid Mop. That song is better than the songs I've listed here, plus a coule others like Alive.

Have no problems with NAIS, but I can't really get myself into Breath and Crown of Thorns... I usually skip them both on Garden DVD...
The man they call my enemy, I've seen his eyes
He looks just like me, a mirror

The more you read, we've been deceived
    Everyday it becomes clearer,...

    Clearer.
  • Yeah I've never been much into "breath". not a very good pearl jam song in my opinion.
    everything has chains
    absolutely nothing's changed
take my hand, not my picture
    spilled my tincture...
  • hm, uh,.... Alive used to be one.
  • well I like state of love and trust but not breath
    everything has chains
    absolutely nothing's changed
take my hand, not my picture

I agree, Last Kiss just doesn't do anything for me. I think Thumbing My Way is a beautiful song, but I always find myself skipping it. I'm also really not into Pilot. I don't know why....

i used to hate master/slave - i mean absolutely loathe. now i like it. it took 15 years of getting used to. i still can't listen to indifference that much. great lyrics, music too bluesy for me.

i also agree that i prefer most of the newer records - only b/c i think i have grown with them. i actually like vitalogy - alot. dont get me wrong, i do love live cds from '91 and ten and vs and all the screaming.....i do watch alot of the old shows more than i listen to the cd's b/c i think more energy comes from seeing some of the ridiculous shit eddie does - i love those.

the newer stuff just sinks in better now. maybe i'm getting old too :(

Quite a few on lost dogs (education, u etc...) I always skip nais and nothingman. Too depressing for me. Then theres black, which i dont want to hear everytime i play a boot (otherwise i will be crying everyday!). Then theres small town (coz i dont want to ruin a wicked memory of hard rock cafe and singing that song). I do have to psyche myself up to listen to some songs (present tense and sleight of hand, which i love). If i dont, then i cant listen to it. So i guess it depends on the mood.

I don't "hate" the song especially not the lyrics....and it's not that i haven't ivestigated the deepness of the song, it's just the music mostly the guitar rubs my ears the wrong way...thats all no hate no no no

Bee Girl, Stupid Mop, Bugs(this one really annoys me) and Arc are among the few PJ songs I just cant sit through

Oh yeah and Gremmie out of control...what the hell is up with that one
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

    Sometimes I can't listen to 'God's Dice'.

    But definitely 'Stupid Mop'.

It's funny...I want to like this song, but I can't because it just gives me the creeps all the time. And it sorta ruins 'Immortality' for me each time I listen to "Vitalogy'..since 'Stupid Mop' is the last track...and I keep forgetting to skip the damn thing.

it sounds to me like a take on REVOLUTION 9 from the WHITE ALBUM, so does some of the rest of VITALOGY, which can't be bad
