around the 50 second mark he says why Milo is on the show

    3:50 they discuss differences

I remember people being upset about him being on there but Bill does that all the time. He brings "demons" on to see what they might agree on.

I'm on the fence about stuff like this. On one hand, it's good to challenge the bullshit, if it's done right. But there's another school of thought that these asshats shouldn't be amplified.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

I get it but Bill knows his audience. I don't think anyone's mind was changed about this idiot but it is interesting to me to hear he had a black boyfriend and a muslim boyfriend. That does change the perception slightly even if it just makes it more weird that this dipshit is a conservative. Of course he calls himself a libertarian....regardless he was pretty much shoved aside due to his remarks anyway.

I also question the messenger. Bill Maher certainly isn't Edward R Murrow nor does he carry the cachet.

Given that journalism is dead and the way people get their, for lack of a better term, information, I don't think there'll ever be an Edward R Murrow of the day.

I have no feelings whatsoever about Maher. A coworker asked me a few months ago "what the hell is the deal with Bill Maher?" My response was "I don't even know what you're talking about."

(So I have no idea why this thread got so heated).

Maher asked if that was a "backhanded slight to Bad Bunny." Sheen didn't hesitate. "Yeah. I mean, there's bands, there's acts, there's just people that I think are more germane to the experience of the game, of that moment, of that particular game. It's the biggest game in the universe."
Maher agreed. "I'm sure Mr. Bunny is wonderful," he said. "I mean, it's a reflection on me that I don't know his work as well as I can, but I'm of a different era. I was hoping the halftime show would be Eddie Rabbit."

you are really upset about this?

The way the culture gets so overwrought over the Super Bowl halftime show is so funny to me.

To be clear Bad Bunny deserves to perform (he's arguably the biggest artist in the world). But if its not for you (which is really the heart of the eternal discussion if something "sucks" or not), literally go do anything else for 9 and a half minutes.

I think this is where it gets heated because this is a debatable point.

It’s like whe your kid says I don’t like that food yet they’ve never tried it! I’d have more respect for the kid that says I’ve tried that and I don’t like it!

Is he big internationally? Ive never heard his name mentioned here in Sweden. Maybe he has some super big hit that I have heard but never connected a name to?

Or is it like Dave Matthews Band? Huge but being nothing here in Europe…

Also, funny enough BB was the most streamed artist in Switzerland for 2025.

great breakdown on how BB became so huge

Titi Me Pregunto is the only BB song I've ever heard, so it will be cool to check him out.

My point above is that everyone seems to be pointing out the "I agree" comment out of context. Maher clearly said it's on him for not knowing bb... I thought Dre and snoop were going to suck a few years ago but I thought it was great

Sheen, as in Charlie Sheen? If I want to know how to blow up my life with crack, booze and hookers, my ears are open even with my lived experience with the first 2, beyond that who really gives a fuck about sheens thoughts on the sb ,the half-time show or anything else.
