    I’m no expert but I assume the band will have to pay royalties whenever a MC song is performed live? I doubt it will influence the song selection (they still play Go quite a bit, for instance) but you never know.

    Most people don't know this but Boom is also their business analyst and helps craft the most cost-effective setlists

    Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries & explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans.

    Wait so, would a new drummer get them to dive into other songs they never do? Would we ever hear Get Right again live? I love that song too.

    I felt the set lists last year were among the safest and least exciting ever. Shows were great and of course there were some surprises but overall, nothing compared to past tours. I doubt that gets any better with a new drummer. Not anytime soon at least. But I’d love to be proven wrong.

    here's my take. 100 Pacer is in the know to some degree. He definitely has read your post/question and has decided to ignore it. Why?, well not because he's rude, my guess is because he knows something about something and feels its best to not say anything at this point. Now if he actually knew nothing, then my guess is he would have just said it, IDK. Just trying to read between the lines...

    Agree.  I haven't had any fomo since 2023. The setlists were pretty structured last year without many surprises and without digging very deep into the catalog.  I hope that changes or at least that they play some places that they haven't been to in years. Mike has commented many times recently that he hates when Ed changes up the setlists last minute? That was always the appeal to me, the spontaneity.  Obviously easier when they play more than a few shows at a time and could get into a real groove. Probably in the past now.

    100% agree, same with 2024. Shows are shorter and the sets predictable. My last great show was Camden 2022. But that is why I keep going, because you never know when that will happen.

    Pacer is a good source of info, but last fall people dunked on him because that EV tour didn't materialize. I wouldn't blame him if he chose to be tight lipped now. 

    But I'll be happy if he drops us a few hints when he can.

    Elderly Woman is a near-staple. Heck, royalties didn't prevent most the "album shows" from happening.

    Funny how DMB gets a tour together every year like clockwork with tons of dates. Not to mention how many people they have on stage. No doubt they are all in on touring 
    Just so you know some of those dates like The Gorge and Fiddlers Green are held 2-3 years in advance and are the same (give or take a day or 2) every year.

    In other words the framework of the annual summer tour is in place each year and 2-3 years in advance.

    The pop acts are notorious for this. I figure it's because a "flavor of the year" might have lost some of their popularity several months later.

    October: "Such pop artist is going on tour next summer! The presale starts tomorrow using code ALBUM_NAME or SUMMER_TOUR" or some equally-generic code.

    Pearl Jam has usually been the opposite. Tour announcements are generally in the few months before, not the few seasons before.
