    You should give Sinners a chance. And it's not "a musical" (I hate musicals). It is largely about music, and the soundtrack is really cool, but it's not people just breaking out into song like in musicals. I actually generally dislike vampire movies, but again, this isn't your typical vampire movie.

    It was great! I would not call it a musical. Music is integral to the story, and there are scenes with music in it being played, but I don’t think it fits the definition of musical. It is a movie that crosses a lot of genres, but has a lot to say about the south, music, and what it is like for an African American living in America, both in the past and today.

    I also found it to be just a super enjoyable movie. It was a fun experience in the theater on opening weekend.

    With the all inclusiveness the Oscars doing now they have definitely widened the options for everything.

    I see a bunch of movies that shouldn't be on here but Hollywood doesn't seem to make great movies anymore.

    Best picture will go to Sinners or One Battle After Another.

    I'm usually not a fan of someone playing two parts in a movie but it was done well in Sinners.

    I'm usually not a fan of someone playing two parts in a movie but it was done well in Sinners.
    That happened when they doubled the size of nominees in the best picture category. I think they realized only having 5 meant the same type of movie was going to win every year. It got boring.
