Is pj20 colored vinyl unopened equal to vault 3 vinyl?

I was just curious if this is a fair trade or not? Thank you for any insight!

  • I don't know the value, but I wouldn't trade my PJ20 colored for the Vol. 3 and that is the only one I am missing.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2
    2024 Sacramento, CA

I think the PJ color is the better record set too but the masses love the V3!

The colored pj20 was never for sale correct?

I'd think that would add a lot of value to it.  Really priceless. There is no way to get this (other than recent auction) or whenever Santos starts passing them out...
    VS
A Vault that was available to all.

Things that make me go hmmmm. Hmm. Hm

You brought up a great point.  Not sure how many colored PJ 20's are out there? 500?

The V3 was also a low printed record.  People slept on that one.
  • Ha, yeah literally any 10c member could have bought vault 3.

True and most did not, hence the hefty price.

Ha, yeah literally any 10c member could have bought vault 3.

They could of, but it was in the infancy of the vinyl resurgence.  Many people hadn't gotten into or back into vinyl at that point, so demand was lower than the other vaults.

Technically and 10c'er could of bought a benaroya, it was for sale to any member for almost 2 days

    Also techniocally incorrect.

Only 2000 people could have bought the Benny.

The V3 I'm guessing is under 1000 printed.  You just never see them.

Vault 3 was available for way longer than 2 days and as a preorder that didn't "sell out." There was just a date that you had to order it by.  A year later everyone bought vault 4 and multiple copies at that once they saw what people would pay for Vault 3 when they slept on it and had regrets because it was expensive for the time.

There were plenty of Vault 3 available for $150 at the pop up shop at Seattle in ‘13. Big thanks to Zod for telling me to buy it.

Hell. I was there too! That was a great pop shop. Raffled off all sorts of cool stuff. Signed upright bass, signed skatedeck, lot's of v3s, uncut poster, older merch, bennys for 350 pretty sure they had 35. I was about 60th in line. Mystery boxes. Stickers galore. Ames bros section. They were signing books and cool clothes sale. Not sure if they had manyposters. We talked to them about the kong and said we already had the book. They encouraged us to 'buy another'. All sorts of og vinyl. I didn't get everything. But was a blast with the buzz of a concert from the night before. Friend got a blue fixer in mb. The guy in charge of merch sales was there and watched everyone open their mystery boxes he helped put together. He seemed just as excited as us. What a nice dude. RIP.

December and cold. Wish I knew you back then Dana & Zod. Could have high fived! I had already gotten v3 from 10c. Would have gotten another, but i was in the early stages of merch addiction!
    End of rant

We looked out at that lineup starting for the popup in 2013 before we called it a night in the wee hours  post concert from across the street enjoying the warmth of our splurge room at The Inn the Market. Fantastic boutique hotel btw. We didn’t make it to the popup until mid afternoon Saturday and that was still awesome.

We reminisce about that run of shows very very fondly. Did Portland, Van and Seattle. That kind of weather at that of year in the PNW is as good as it gets. Really cold, clear low humidity, absolutely spectacular.
It would likely  have been a disaster if any snow fell in Van. or Seattle. (It wasn’t super cold for the Portland show.)Or we could have had the varying degrees of rain, fog etc. that’s more the norm or the flukey foot of snow.

Any idea what a Vault 3 or PJ20 coloured are going for these days?

Had to miss that pop up to sign mortgage papers. Much as I love my house that still haunts me. 😆

Ah. It was special but i'd rather have a house to put all my collactaballs/posters/shirts that won't fit me in!
Honestly if you wanted the extra special items you'd have to be in the front of the line [some waited all night after the concert] or win a raffle. Had OG riot act vinyl, prior to reissues were gold. Now not so much. Some backspacer singles i passed on.
They had PJ20 backpacks, but I think they were priced at 300 if I remember.

Mc'd by Tim B. He was the one selling raffle tix on the line too!
    Nice moment in time...
