    That's sad. I love my daddy. I'm totally a daddy's girl. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to not have him. But I guess if that's the way it's been for so long, that's the way you live and you don't even think twice about it. I just think that's really sucky....

    I have always connected with Release because of my non existent relationship with my dad. I've tried, but he only pops in my life every 3 years or so. I've finally given up on him.     Yeah, it is sucky. No I don't think twice about it....after 34 years, approximately 15 of them spent trying to have a "normal" relationship I gave up. Every time I tried I got the emotional equivalent of a kick in the head and I got sick and tired of it. After my brother died (1997 and my father is responsible) I kept getting cards for birthdays and Christmas that he felt the need to sign my dead brother's name to. I got sick of being slapped in the face with his favouritism of my brother, too. Up until the night my brother died I thought my father hated me (I still think that...actually, I know that). I was 25 years old the first time I ever heard my father tell me he loved me. And after a couple more years went by I no longer believed he told the truth (not the whole truth).

    suggestion: what about "Have Fun With It" - read a great old rolling stone piece that referenced it: "Have fun with it. You hear the phrase often around Vedder. He rarely has a response.     I'm actually getting a tattoo of a piece of work from fernando apodaca, the artist that did the entire concept for the new album and the new video. I'm getting the outline of the green pillow that is on his website and within the outline i'm going to get, "once dissolve, we are free to grow" from severed hand. I think that whole breakdown part in the song is poetically fantastic.

    I don't know if it's been said yet, and I didn't go back and read all the posts but.... "I Will Not Lost My Faith". I'm actually going to get that tattooed in script (or some sort of fancy writing) around my ankle. I'm very excited! :)

    Wow, it's nice to see others have some quotes tattooed.

    My husband was just talking about it the other day...he had brought it up in the past, but I told him no...we both don't have tattooes, so we dropped the conversation every time he brought it up.

    But he said the cutest thing that I couldn't resist...

    "I really want to tattoo our Ten Club names" he says.

    "Ten Club names? What do you mean, honey?"

    "Yeah...IamMine and mysmallself"

    He never posts here, but he thought that was his "Ten Club" name. :D

    He wants to tattoo 'iammine' and 'mysmallself' in lower case and in typewriter format on both of his arms and also in small sizes.

    Ten Club names...too damn cute.

    Didn't say no this time... :D

    Now...the debate is which arm I want my 'ten club' name goes on... hahaha.

    I did end up getting the fernando apocado concept tattoo of dissolving. Ms. Sophia did it for me, she's a great person. I will probably get a sketched hand opened seeping water to the outline of the piece. The words "once dissolved, we are free to grow" will probably end up being the pearl jam words i incorporate toward it. I love that breakdown part in severed hand. Great philosophical outlook.
