The song hitchiker off lost dogs......Does anyone know who the song is about. Great tune by the way!

    According to liner notes, it's not a who but a what. Those little plant seeds that attach to your clothing as you hike through the woods comprise part of the basis for this song. But of course, there could be some additional depth.

    HH is about a category of people, not one particular person. the song references the actions of "blue penners" and reactions of the famous persons that despise "blue penners". a "blue penner" is a person that profits from obtaining and selling famous persons autographs. essentially, as the song proclaims, these people are professional leeches.

    Cheers Dark Star i had no idea. Kept thinkin it was about a person who had wronged the band! Originally thought it was about Dave A! Dont shoot me!

    Thankyou i thought i was about a person, someone sucking the life out of them..........Scott Stapp came to mind! And you refer to a group of people or certain types of people..Makes sense!

    tHANKS MAN, its one of my favourites to date so it makes sense trying to find out who or What it is about. Id imagine theyd have come across many Blue Penners in their time, everyones always lookin for an extra buck! These people must have familiar faces, continually turning up to add another signed CD to their pile! Thanks again, Cheers!

    no problem. to clarify, the concept is different than adding another autographed item to a personal stash/pile...it's about leveraging the fame of another person to create profit for one's self....
