Bushleaguer

Hey everyone

I've started this thread to see what people's thoughts and opinions are of the song Bushleaguer.

I have to say that I love the lyrics on this song and they have to rate amongst Vedder's best.

Its seems pretty obvious to me that the song is largely about George W. Bush with lyrics such as

"He's not a leader, hes a Texas Leaguer'

And probably one of the best of all time lyrics is

The Aristocrat choir sings,
"whats the ruckus?"
The haves have not a clue.

I'm not completely sure if this refers to The U.S. Government in Iraq or just the general political scene in the U.S but it certainly provkes some thought.

I'd be interested to see what other people might have to say about some of these lyrics.

    I love it, didn't really like it much at first but it grew on me. I love when the chorus kicks in :
    "blackout weaves it way thru the city..."

    the chorus is awesome!

    have you seen live at the garden? If you haven't you have to see the bushleager extra, frickin' hilarious.

    No I havn't been to Live at the Garden. Sadly Pearl Jam don't tour in Australia very often (we miss out on most tours down here). I went to they're last concert in Sydney but I forgot what its called.

    Do u have any recollection of what is in the Bushleaguer extra or know where to find it?

    great lyrics, greatr phrasing I really like it the chorus is a little weak but probably only because it does not live up to the rest...
