HELP - Things to do in Columbia, South Carolina

I'm going to Columbia, South Carolina next week for work and I'm looking for things to do at night, eat, drink, dinner, entertainment, etc..

    Sorry I didn't see this one earlier. I live in the suburbs, around Lake Murray. I work downtown, basically across the street from Colonial Life Arena.

    Honestly, it's been years since I've done any nightlife type things downtown so I don't know what's cool or trendy any more. Your best bets for dining are probably the Vista area (https://www.vistacolumbia.com/) and Main Street north of the State House. Hall's Chophouse on Main is one of the best, albeit expensive, steaks that I've ever had. For things to do, there's an axe throwing place and escape room in the Vista. The Tin Roof has live music and Republic Biergarten is a good place to get a drink (at least it was last time I went). If you like basketball, check the University of South Carolina team schedules. I know most people would rather watch men's basketball, but the women's team has been fantastic (3 national championships since 2017, probably would have been 4 if covid didn't cancel one year). Riverbanks Zoo is really good too, but that would probably be more for a weekend type thing to do.
