Left is the HS student who had a Native American walk up to him and people thought he started the whole stare down.Tim Simmons said:I don't know what either of these things are.
The right was when a woman mocked the Charlie Kirk murder.
The left one was all over the news and with a skewed view.
The right one hasn't made much news at all unless it was conservative news.0 -

The biggest Deep State scam continues to unfold right before our eyes. Video link includes two steps with no hand rail. Whoaaaaaaaa, there CCOOTWH, know where you’re going?Trump, 79, Wanders Off While Meeting Japanese Prime Minister
In an embarrassing moment caught on video, it’s clear Donald Trump gets confused and walks away from Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
During a welcoming ceremony in Tokyo Tuesday, Donald Trump appeared to forget where he was going as he walked through a room filled with dignitaries and a military band, at one point even leaving Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi behind.
It’s another example of the president’s ongoing cognitive decline and health issues, which are becoming more apparent with each of his public appearances. On Monday, the president revealed on Air Force One that a visit to Walter Reed Medical Center earlier this month was to get an MRI as part of what he described as a “routine yearly checkup,” despite the fact that his yearly physical exam was six months ago.
Neither the president nor White House officials have revealed why he got the MRI, and Trump also talked at length about a very hard “aptitude test” he received at the military hospital, claiming that members of Congress such as Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett wouldn’t have performed well.

The media covered the kid on the left nonstop for days, making him out to be a villain and showing video out of context. He won a massive lawsuit, I think it was in the neighborhood of $100 million or something crazy like that against CNN (or another network).
The story was the kids were on a field trip and some protestors were outside. One of them was banging a drum and got up in the kid's face and banged the drum while he stood there silently. They spun it like it was the kids fault and he initiated the confrontation, even though he just stood there.
There was no reason for the media coverage, on multiple channels, to cover the kid the way they did. If you're arguing there's too many stories to cover, that kid should have been the first one dropped. But it fit a narrative of a white kid in a maga hat that they could spin in a negative connotation. We all know if he wasn't white and didn't wear that hat and did the same thing, he wouldn't have received 10 seconds on the news cycle.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -
He settled out of court for an undisclosed amount (peobably 100-200k) because the media outlet would’ve spent more going through a civil trial.mace1229 said:

You're right. I just looked it up, I think he initially sought 800 million, then lowered it to 250 (which I incorrectly remembered as the ruling).Go Beavers said:

The point is though, if he wasn't a white kid in a maga hat, the news would never have covered him in the first place.0 -
Why do you think it was a story at the time?
I mean, I agree with you to the point of it wasn't a real story and it was a lazy/dishonest way of approaching something that should have been looked at a different way.

at the end of the day neither story is "a story", and all 3 people are assholes.
But to think the media should have covered the one of the right just as intently as the one on the left in 2025 is bonkers.

Just months after the Trump administration won a $16M settlement from Paramount for a supposedly “deceptively” edited 60 Minutes interview of Kamala Harris, Trump appeared open to being edited by CBS News. https://trib.al/Nts3JwD_____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________
