How many people stayed up to watch all 18 innings? I didn't. I had to be at work pretty early.
I watched until the end, but I live on the West Coast. It was getting late here, so I can only imagine how hard that would have been for Blue Jays fans who had to work today. It would have been nearly 3am on the East Coast. Yikes.

Should have been over in 12th. Jay's batter swung at 2 ball 4s with the bases loaded

Sucks that Ohtani gets a special rule where he can pitch and bat

I liked it better when the NL pitchers still hit , but I also liked no interleague play, only meeting in the WS and playing by the home leagues rules.

i guess there are positives and negatives for both

The "Ohtani rule" allows a starting pitcher to remain in the game as the designated hitter (DH) even after being removed from the pitching position. This rule, adopted by Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2022, lets two-way players like Shohei Ohtani continue to hit for their team after they are done pitching for the day. Without this rule, the team would have to forfeit the DH spot if the pitcher was replaced on the mound

Why does  Ohtani fake that he can't speak English in interviews but you can clearly see him speaking it in the dugout with the coaches and players.  something about that bothers me.

Plausible deniability for his illegal gambling. Blame it on the interpreter.

I would guess that you would be in the minority at not letting the best hitter in baseball actually hit.

MLB should be promoting more two way players.  It's very exciting.

Judge might edge him out in that so I'll say he is the best "player" in baseball.
